The event had been held in downtown Hartford, CT in previous years but, in 1999, was relocated to the larger new Hartford Exposition Center to allow more clubs and classic vehicles to participate. The two day event, held in February, showcased the finest examples of cruise vehicles, custom motorcycles, race cars, along with a variety of vendors. The Frank Maratta Auto Show gives classic car clubs and cruise night sponsors the opportunity to advertise their upcoming events during the winter season. Car clubs designed elaborate displays, using Street Rods, Muscle Cars, Custom vehicles and Car Hop girls to try and win the award of Best Cruise Night. The show also featured such entertainment as hopping vehicles and a bicycle ramp stunt jumping exhibition. The Frank Marrata Show DVD for 1999 includes professional quality shots of the classic vehicles, motorcycles, people and club displays.
