Mustang Shelby: Volume 1
57 minutes – copyright 2000

The Mustang Shelby was produced from 1965-1970. The 1965-1966 models were designed by Carroll Shelby to be competitive at the race track. In 1967, he Ford Motor Company took over the production of the Shelby, resulting in a better handling car for the open road. The Hertz Rent-A-Car Company ordered 1000 specially optioned 1966 GT-350 H models (plus 2 prototypes), and rented them for $17/day and 17¢/mile. However, Hertz cancelled this program after only one year.

The 1967 model saw the introduction of the 390 cid big block. The 1970 models were renumbered 1969 production cars. The Mustang Shelby DVD, Volume 1, will show 50 of these original and rstored automobiles. The 25th anniversary S.A.A.C. show at the Lime Rock race track was the location for the filming of these Shelbys. Music and titles have been added to set the mood for this classic DVD.
