Packard: Volume 1
46 minutes – copyright 2000

The first Packard was designed by James Ward Packard and built in 1899 in Warren, Ohio. At the time, it was considered one of the most luxurious automobiles on the road. There were more Packards manufactured between 1925 and 1930 than Cadillacs! The Packard company managed to survive the Depression by producing a mid-priced model in 1935 called the 120. The Packard company also produced Rolls-Royce aero engines for the military and PT boats during the war.

The 1950's saw the merger of Packard and Studebaker, leading to the end of the Packard automobile (the last Packard was manufactured in 1958). This DVD will feature 39 original and restored examples from one of America's finest luxury automobile manufacturers. Years represented include 1927, 1930, 1933, 1937, 1939, 1941, 1942, 1948 and 1950. Models featured include 110, 120, 160, coupes, sedans and convertibles.

This DVD includes multiple angle shots of engines, interiors and exteriors set in scenic background locations. Music and titles have been added to set the mood for this classic DVD.
