The 1955-1957 Thunderbird was the Ford Motor Company's response to the Chevrolet Corvette. The Thunderbird had glass windows, powertop and steel construction, unlike the Corvette's side curtains, soft top and fiberglass construction and was a more comfortable vehicle to drive. Both vehicles were constructed on a 102 inch wheelbase. The 1955 Bird was powered by a 292 cid with 193-198 basic horse power. The 1956 Bird was powered by the 292 cid or the new option 312 cid, which produced between 215-225 basic horsepower. The 1957 bird 312 cid was now offered with 245-285 basic horsepower and was the last year that the Thunderbird was produced as a two seat vehicle. The 1955-1957 Ford Thunderbird was both sporty and stylish, at home on the track a well as cruising the boulevard. This DVD includes multiple angle shots of engines, interiors and exteriors set in scenic background locations. Music and titles have been added to set the mood for this classic DVD making it a must for any Thunderbird owner.
